Growing up thin and fit as Diane did doesn’t always mean you are healthy. Back in 2009 while searching for ways to help with weight issues in her immediate family, Diane learned about the impact that their daily choices and lifestyles were creating. She herself was tired all the time, had brain fog, slow creeping weight gain, and food cravings. Sound familiar? What she found had several components. She was not moving enough, their food choices were killing her energy levels, and her cells were not receiving optimum levels of nutrients to do their job efficiently. Obviously, as the main shopper and meal preparer, her family was being affected as well. Diane admitted she had gotten lazy with convenience and prepared foods, and in their case, their increasing weight gain was directly correlated to how they were eating. Her shopping cart had become less and less nutritious, and the faith she was putting in marketing and in companies to provide us with reliable, safe and nutritious products became more frustrating. Diane vowed to start looking at what they were (and weren’t) putting inside and onto their bodies.
Working with a health coach provided Diane the support and accountability she needed. Learning how to choose foods and products that will nutrient their bodies as well as their cells has helped release weight, control carb and sugar cravings, increase energy, decrease fatigue, as well as improve self-esteem and moods. Having someone who believes in you and your success is truly a blessing.
The more she discovered, the more she felt her conscience telling her to share these principles of healthy living. In 2012, Diane received her certification as a Holistic Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Not only is she able to improve and help her family and clients, this also helps her continued health and personal growth. With a recent diagnosis of Hoshimoto’s Disease, an autoimmune hypothyroid disease, as well as gluten sensitivity and other food sensitivities, Diane has become focused on developing a protocol for good digestion and healing your gut through nutrition, high quality supplements and stress management.
Optimal health is a journey, with each step forward building health and not creating disease. Diane continues to learn and will continue to share what she learns. She looks forward to helping clients who would like a better and healthier way of living – maybe you are just sick and tired of feeling sick and tired, maybe you are looking for support and guidance with healthier food choices, maybe you want to detox, maybe you want to release some weight, maybe your body isn’t cooperating with you, or maybe you are like she was and just don’t know where to begin. Let her help you!
Let’s build health, not create disease!
